Colorado athlete staying near home
Louisville (Colo.) Monarch athlete Chris Kawulok hosted the Colorado State coaches last night in his home. Today, he gave them a phone call.
“The Colorado State coaches were here last night,” the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Kawulok said. “They were just there to talk to me and see if I had any questions. Today, I called them and committed.

“I called one of the assistants first. Then we called Coach Lubick and left him a message to give us a call. We’re still waiting on his call back.”
Kawulok also considered San Diego State and Utah, having visited both schools.
The commitment will pair Kawulok and Dan Gury again after the two being teammates since fourth grade.
“We’ve only lost four games together all along,” Kawulok said. “It will be nice having him as a teammate in college.”
