Collura staying put with Pitt

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha tight end Sam Collura committed to Pittsburgh back in February. After a few official visits, the 6-foot-3, 250-pounder is set in his selection.
"Right now I'm sticking with Pittsburgh," he said. "I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay with Pittsburgh and I'm not really considering other schools.

"I'm having another in-home with Pittsburgh tonight and we'll discuss things more and solidify that up."
Collura took visits to Ohio, Virginia Tech and Miami. The 'Canes and Hokies never offered, however if they offered would that change his mind?
"Probably not, Pittsburgh is in contact with me the most and I'm starting to get real comfortable with the coaching staff. I can see myself playing there the next four or five years."
So, what makes Pittsburgh stick out?
"The fact they have stuck with me and have been recruiting me hard," he said. "When I talk to them, every time they state they need players like me to build their program. I have the chance to come up and compete right away in camp. They also would love to coach someone with my work ethic, that's really exciting.
"Also, I'm familiar with the city of Pittsburgh and I did pick the school based on the academics as well as football.
"In addition, I like the offensive coordinator and Coach Dews, they are both former tight ends. They like to utilize the tight end in the Pittsburgh offense and they know the situation I'm in, they can critique me on the little things."
