Collins loves time in Oregon

There probably weren't too many more exciting places to be this past weekend than Eugene, Oregon. Santa Monica (Calif.) defensive back Cameron Collins was on an official visit to see the Ducks in action against Oklahoma and raved about the trip.
Collins, 6-2, 200 pounds is one of the elite safeties in the West region this year. He's a big hitter who can cover and always seems to be around the ball.

On the recruiting front, Collins has four schools he's looking at right now and the Ducks were the first school he had a chance to check out.
"I had a great visit," Collins said. "Obviously the game was the highlite for me. It was an incredible game and the atmosphere there was amazing. There were times when I couldn't even hear myself because the crowd was so loud.
"The finish at the end of the game, when Oregon came back and took the lead, that was incredible and when Oregon blocked the field goal, everyone just rushed the field and I was right there too. It was just an amazing time.
"I did other things on the trip as well. I saw the campus and the facilities are incredible. Kwame Agyeman was my host and he was cool to hang out with along with the other players on the team. I got along really well with all the guys on the team and it was fun talking with the coaches as well.
"Overall, the trip was great but I'm still planning to take my other visits before I make a decision. The coaches knew that ahead of time so there was no pressuring me for a commitment or anything like that. Right now, I don't have dates set but I'm going to be visiting Oregon State, Stanford and Boise State, those are my final four.
"I'm trying to stay open right now until I take all my visits so I really don't even want to talk about having a leader. Once I take all my trips, I can compare each of the schools to each other and then I should be ready to make a decision."
