Collier talks favorites

Leaders are starting to be established for Rivals100 athlete Averin Collier. The Churchville (N.Y.) Chuchville-Chili star claims five schools are standing out over the rest.
"I've got offers from Pittsburgh, Clemson, Maryland, Virginia, Syracuse, UCF, Louisville, Boston College, Temple and Buffalo," he said. "Out of the schools that have offered, my top five are Pittsburgh, Clemson Virginia, Syracuse and Maryland.

"I feel the most comfortable with those schools. I've been around their campuses, while I haven't been to others. It's kind of a unfair for a school like UCF, but I am really interested in the offer from them with their running back situation.
"At this time, I would kind of say Pittsburgh leads because of my family ties and Kevin (brother who is running back at Pitt), but it's a toss up still."
A few other schools may offer in the future.
"A lot of schools are very interested," he said. "Penn State told me they offered four players and I'll probably be the fifth in the future. Rutgers is interested along with UCLA and North Carolina."
Meanwhile, Collier is hoping to receive offers from two more schools down the line.
"I'd like to get offers from Michigan and Florida," he said. "I've received contact from each of them every once in a while. They are still sending me letters and we'll see what happens.
"Michigan has Mike Hart and he'll be gone soon. It'd be nice to see another New York guy hold down that job. As for Florida, I could bring something new to the table since they mostly get players from in-state."
The four-star prospect plans to take in a few camps in the coming months.
"I'll probably go to UCLA, Florida, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Clemson."
