Collie one of the best in the west

Austin Collie (6-2, 190, 4.49) from El Dorado Hills (Calif.) Oak Ridge is rated by rivals.com as the west coast’s 11th best wide receiver. There is a reason for that. Collie is a physical wide receiver with good hands and is a good runner after the catch. His offer tally currently stands at 12.
As a junior, Collie had 56 receptions for 870 yards and 13 touchdowns. He made first-team all-league and first-team all-city for his performance in 2002.

Collie’s 12 offers are from Arizona State, Cal-Davis, Sacramento State, UNLV, Stanford, BYU, Colorado, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona, Utah State and Utah.
Collie has received phone calls from Washington State, Stanford, Cal, Arizona State, BYU and Yale since September 1st.
The scouting report on Collie is he has great vision, runs great routes and has great hands. He catches the ball with his hands not his chest. Collie is fearless over the middle and he is very courageous.
“I enjoy catching the ball in traffic,” Collie said. “There’s nothing like it.”
What is Collie looking for in a college?
“The education and football program are the most important,” Collie said. “I also want to go to a school where I fit in with the team.”
“Some coaches want me to visit in the middle of the season so I can see their games,” Collie said. “I haven’t decided on a time table for visits yet.”
