Colleges well aware of Simpson

College coaches are already well aware of Darrell Simpson. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Justin (Texas) Northwest offensive tackle may only be a sophomore, but scholarship offers have already arrived from Kansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and most recently Baylor.
"I mean it's a blessing," Simpson said. "All I can do is thank God."

The Baylor Bears joined his list over the weekend. He admits the Baylor offer surprised him the most, since he did not talk to the Baylor coaches much before attending the game over the weekend.
There were several aspects of the Baylor visit which stood out to Simpson, but one aspect stood above the rest.
"The stadium just was crazy fresh," Simpson said.
With four offers already on the table, many other programs are taking a long look at his talents. He is humbled to have the offers he has but there is always the thought of who will be next. It is hard to guage at times, but right now he believes an SEC school could be the next to join his offer list.
"I say Texas A&M," Simpson said. "I'll be going down there this weekend."
He does not have anything scheduled yet, but Kansas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State are schools he would like to visit.
