Colleges continue watching TE Taylor

Springdale (Md.) Flowers tight end Monte Taylor went to a number of camps this summer. The 6-foot-2, 239-pounder holds just one offer, but continues to have other colleges highly interested.
"I've still got that one offer from Western Michigan," he said. "North Carolina is looking at me hard as a defensive end instead of a tight end. Pittsburgh and Oklahoma are calling and checking on me along with Temple and Maryland.

"North Carolina is supposed to call sometime soon and I'll find out what's going on with how they are recruiting. I'm high on their radar, but they are waiting until the season starts to see how I'm going to do."
This summer, Taylor hit camps at Pittsburgh, Rutgers, North Carolina, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Maryland and Marshall.
"All of them want to see how I do this season after the third or fourth game. They want film and they'll go from there."
While he isn't sure of dates, the two-star prospect confirmed plans to take an official to Western Michigan this fall and to North Carolina.
Taylor maintains no favorites though.
"I'm kind of in the middle right now."
