Colleges coming by for Kansas OL

Ottawa, Kan. offensive tackle Caleb Blakesley has had several schools come by the football office at his high school, but so far, only one school has called him.
“I got my first call today,” the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Blakesley said. “Kansas called today. I talked to them for quite a while really. Even though I’ve only had the one call, there have been a lot of schools coming by our school.”

The list of schools coming by Ottawa coach Pat Boeh’s office include Kansas State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Northwestern, Nebraska and Wyoming.
“It really has been neat meeting coaches and seeing them at our school,” Blakesley said. “After K-State K-State left, I felt like they were getting close to offering, but don’t know for sure. I think they will be the next ones that do.”
Blakesley does plan on three camps this summer.
“I am going to K-State’s and KU’s camps for a couple days in June. I will also go to the Missouri one-day camp they will have in Kansas City.”
Blakesley still would rank the Jayhawks as his top school.
“KU is the top right now mostly because of the offer,” he said. “They have stepped forward with the offer, so I have got to like them. It is still early, though. I will probably see how it goes and take a couple of visits during my senior year before making a decision.”
