Colleges are looking at DE Godley

Greensboro (N.C.) Northwest Guilford defensive end Baird Godley had an impressive junior year. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder registered 89 tackles, 22 for loss and nine sacks. Due to that success, Godley is receiving interest from a variety of colleges.
"I'm getting looks from North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Clemson, South Carolina and Virginia, those are the main players," he said. "I also have gotten mail from Florida and Georgia."

Does the all-conference prospect have any favorites?
"I would say Wake Forest, NC State and Clemson," he said. "I think all of those schools are close to offering me. They are looking at my film right now.
"As far as those schools, I like the coaches a lot. I went to Wake for the Virginia Tech game and it was exciting. They are also nearby and are an up and coming program. Meanwhile, NC State I've always been a fan of them and Clemson's coach Rumph seems like a good guy when I met him on a visit to the school. They also have great facilities."
With plenty of schools taking a look, what is Godley looking for out of a college?
"I'm looking for facilities, coaching and academics," he stated. "I'd like somewhere that is somewhat close to home. I want to be around my family and friends. That is definitely a factor. I also want a good coaching staff and solid facilities."
This spring, the junior lineman plans to head to the Nike Camp in Charlotte and is considering camps at NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Clemson and perhaps Florida.
