Colleges are keeping tabs on CB Ofori

Gaithersburg, Md. cornerback Axel Ofori continues to hold three scholarships. Numerous other schools are eyeing the 5-foot-10, 178-pounder this season to evaluate him further in the possibility they may offer as well.
"Recruiting has been kind of quiet," he said. "I do still hold offers from Louisville, Monmouth and Tennessee State.

"I'm hearing from East Carolina, Penn State a bit and Rutgers. East Carolina I think wants to see my first couple games, so does Penn State. Rutgers said I have to wait since they have offered a lot of players at my position."
Ofori has no intention of taking visits in the near future.
"I should be making them after the season."
Despite that fact, Ofori claims a leader.
"I do like North Carolina," he said. "I am still hearing from them. They want to see me first two or three games as well."
Ofori is looking forward to a big senior year, which begins on September 4th.
"We had a scrimmage over the weekend," he said. "Our team is really looking good this year. Everybody is working hard as a team and there are no individuals. The defense is flying around the ball.
"I've been looking good. I'm playing running back again too. I'm starting to believe in my line and I'm learning where they are blocking and what I need to be doing. I think the camps this summer really have helped my game experience and I'm starting to teach some of those things to our secondary players."
