CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma

Lamb committed, de-committed and then re-committed to Oklahoma through the spring and summer prior to his senior season. The rumor was that his parents wanted him closer to home at Texas A&M. Ole Miss was also seriously involved late in his recruitment, but after seeing some other schools, Lamb decided Oklahoma was the best place for him. In an offense that averages more than 49 points per game, Lamb has 36 catches for 816 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was ranked No. 10 at wide receiver in a 2017 class that was led by Donovan Peoples-Jones, Tee Higgins and Jerry Jeudy.

  Sage Surratt, Wake Forest

An early pledge to Harvard, Surratt reopened his recruitment and planned to stay closer to home with North Carolina, Wake Forest and Duke leading the way. Even though his brother, Chazz, picked the Tar Heels, the two-star receiver decided on the Demon Deacons. Like his team, Surratt is having a terrific season with 53 catches for 881 yards and nine touchdowns so far. The Demon Deacons are 6-1 and they’re averaging more than 37 points per game.

  Devin Duvernay, Texas

Duvernay originally committed to Baylor, but when there was fallout around a sexual assault scandal, the high four-star receiver decided to explore other options. It was also determined Duvernay’s original LOI was not submitted properly so he could be immediately available to other teams. After taking trips to Texas and TCU, Duvernay picked the Longhorns. He has been by far Texas’ top target this season with 69 catches for 800 yards (more than double anyone else on the team) to go along with a team-high seven TDs.

Tylan Wallace, Oklahoma State

One of the biggest selling points for Wallace in his commitment to Oklahoma State is the Cowboys also took a pledge from his brother and he was promised an opportunity to play quarterback. Tracin Wallace has since medically retired from football, but Tylan Wallace has been a superstar. Oklahoma State is known as a team that throws the ball all over the field, but so far this season the Cowboys have run the ball 379 times and thrown it just 233 times. Still, Wallace leads the way with 53 catches for 903 yards and eight touchdowns.

  Justin Jefferson, LSU

Jefferson’s two brothers, Jordan and Rickey, played at LSU but the Tigers were not quick to offer and the only other offer listed on his profile is from Nicholls State. A two-star prospect, Jefferson said he was looking at Texas, Oklahoma State, Memphis and some others. He has been a huge addition to No. 1 LSU’s new passing attack with 55 catches for 819 yards and nine touchdowns so far this season. A showdown with No. 2 Alabama is coming up Nov. 9.
