We are a month into the college football season and fantasy leagues, but there is still a lot of value to be found at each position. Here are five wide receivers that are not owned in a high percentage of leagues that could help if you’re having a slow start to the fantasy season.

Take a deep breath and think about this for a minute: LSU’s offense is averaging 57.8 points per game. That might be a little because the Tigers haven’t played the toughest schedule yet (other than winning at Texas), but I believe it’s because LSU’s new offense is for real, and Chase is a top receiver target. He has 20 catches for a team-high 397 yards and five touchdowns so far this season, and he could get a lot more targets with Terrace Marshall out with injury. Owned in only 32 percent of leagues, Chase is No. 7 in fantasy points at his position.

Here’s another one to wrap your mind around: Wake Forest has two wide receivers - Sage Surratt and Washington - in the top 10 of receivers in fantasy points. Surratt is second overall and owned in 67 percent of league and Washington is 10th and only owned in 37 percent, so there’s a big opportunity to pick him up. Washington has 22 catches for 376 yards and five touchdowns as he averages more than 17 yards per catch. The schedule gets tougher in the coming months, but Wake is still going to throw the ball and Washington will be a top target.

There are some questions about how the USC quarterback situation is going to shake out in the coming weeks, and that could be a concern, but in the Trojans’ big win over Utah, Pittman had 10 catches for 232 yards and a touchdown. He now has 31 receptions for 437 yards and three scores this season. I actually think it helps Pittman to have Tyler Vaughns and Amon-Ra St. Brown alongside him at receiver because defenses have to stay honest and not double team him. Owned in just 44 percent of leagues, USC is still going to throw the ball and Pittman could get a lot of looks.

Parchment is not a national name and who knows how Kansas is going to look week-to-week, but the Jayhawks offense has been good and Parchment is by far the favored receiver on the team. So far this season, he’s caught 24 passes for 367 yards and he has four touchdowns with more fantasy points than Purdue’s Rondale Moore, Clemson’s Tee Higgins and many others. Parchment is only owned in 12 percent of leagues, so he’s a steal.

The numbers on Atwell are confusing or interesting - or maybe a little bit of both. In four games this season, he has only 16 catches, but Atwell is averaging nearly 19.4 yards per reception and he has five touchdowns, more than all of the other receivers on the team combined. Since he’s owned in only six percent of leagues, it’s almost a guarantee you can pick him up and it might be worth a shot since he can have a breakout game any week.
