Coley decides

Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside linebacker Henry Coley made a decision earlier today. Where is the 6-foot-2, 230-pounder headed?
"I committed to Virginia earlier today," he said. "I talked to Coach Scott and Coach Groh. They told me I was a fourth of July present.

"They were just happy about it and now it's time to get everything rolling. I'm going to try to get up there for a practice in August."
Coley selected the Cavaliers over offers from Louisville, Navy, Richmond, Temple and Liberty.
"It was just everything about Virginia, the atmosphere, athletes and academics. It was just a fit," he said. "It's a plus for them being in-state. That's real good, it not too far."
Virginia will utilize Coley as a linebacker in the 3-4 defense.
"I'm going to have to adapt to that, that's not a problem," he said. "They've had success with linebackers though. They've had nine pro linebackers, that's a real plus."
The coaches were also a factor for the Commonwealth prospect.
"Coach Scott always showed love and stayed in my ear," he stated. "They are straight forward to you and that's what I liked about them."
Coley is relieved to be done with his recruitment.
"I'm just happy that this opens doors for me. It's truly a blessing."
