Coleman following in Jerry Rices footsteps

Louisville, Miss., running back Lakendrick Coleman had a big senior season and has decided to stay in-state and play for Jerry Rice's alma mater.
"I committed to Mississippi Valley State and I plan to sign with them tommorrow," Coleman said.

At 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds, Coleman runs the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds and claims a 35-inch vertical leap.
As a junior, he was named to the all-district team, and was the Winston County Player of the Week twice and a Clarion Ledger Top Performer twice. He was won the Best Back Award on his team and was the Offensive MVP after rushing for 1,212 yards and 13 touchdowns on 141 carries.
"When I took my official visit there it just really felt like home," Coleman said. "I llike the way they plan to use me in their offense."
