Cole talks about first official visit

December was a busy month for William Cole as he was leading Cedar Hill to the Texas state title. So January is the time where he will focus on recruiting and taking his official visits and this weekend was his first to Kansas.
"It was a great trip," Cole said. "My host was Aqib Talib who is an all Big 12 corner who gets to play both ways. So that was good for me to be hosted by him. He showed me a good time."

Cole took his official visit to Kansas with teammate Dezmon Briscoe. This season Cole played quarterback although his future could be at cornerback or wide receiver, or both.
"When I met with coach Mark Mangino he told me he sees me as a player like Talib that could play on both sides," Cole said. "I had a good time getting to meet the players and coaches. Everything seemed like a family like it does on my high school team."
After Cole's performance where he shredded defenses in Cedar Hill's run to the state title game, even more people have taken a look at him. From here on out his official visit list could get very interesting.
"I am going to Arkansas next week and after that I'm not really sure," Cole said. "I know Texas and Auburn have started to show more interest. I know I am going to pay close attention to the schools that have been there with me the longest before we won state. But I don't know what visits will take place."
Cole is also scheduled to take a visit to Missouri on Jan. 26 along with Briscoe.
