Coffman having perfect season thus far

It's been quite the year so far for Peculiar (Mo.) Raymore-Peculiar quarterback Carson Coffman who has lead his team to a pristine 7-0 record while he finishes out a big senior season.
What made the season even better was going head-to-head with his good friend Josh Freeman on the gridiron weeks ago. The two had made a deal for a chicken sandwich that one would do better than the other. Coffman's plate was full after a big victory.

"A local paper wrote a story about it, but I guess it really wasn't that big of a deal," Coffman said. "Of course we focused on the game and not stats, because Josh is killing me on stats right now."
"After the game though, some guy came up to us and asked us who was up on the bet. It was after the game and I had just eaten the sandwich. I told him I was."
The season has definitely not been all fun and games. The confident and talented Coffman has been pushing his team all year long and they are winning because of it.
As for recruiting, he still is holding one offer from North Texas but is looking for more.
"I think Kansas and Wisconsin will probably end up offering me before too long," Coffman said. "I went up to Wisconsin when they played Michigan at home. We gave them my tape and talked to the receivers coach. They're waiting on some bigger targets, so we'll see."
With visits, Coffman plans on taking them to North Texas, Kansas, Wisconsin, Missouri, and possibly Purdue.
"I'm thinking about recruiting a little bit, but I'm trying to talk to the schools that I kind of like," Coffman said. "I haven't narrowed it down or anything. I'm going to wait until after the season to get down to that."
