Coffeyville corner has offers, trip set

One of the top junior college cornerbacks in the Jayhawk Conference has lined up his first official visit. So who’s first on the list for Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College standout T.J. Covington?
“I have a visit with Temple set up for December 12,” Covington, a three-star prospect that is 6-foot and 195 pounds, said. “I’m also working on a visit with Utah. North Texas is also calling me, so I might check them out, too.”

Covington has two offers from Utah and Temple.
Covington had five tackles and a pass broken up in the Red Raven’s loss to Butler County Community College in the Jayhawk Conference championship game last week. It’s a loss that still stings today.
“I’m disappointed with how things went in the playoff game,” he said. “In our big games, we just didn’t play good enough to win. We didn’t pull them out and that hurts.”
