Coffee not letting weather stop him

Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., three-star running back Glen Coffee isn’t letting hurricanes stop him from having a great senior season. While many in the state of Florida have been dodging hurricanes, Coffee, who is 6-foot and now up to 205 pounds, has been dodging defenders.
In his first game, he only rushed for 57 yards on five carries because it was a blowout situation. Then in the second game, Coffee blew up for 286 yards and five touchdowns – in just three quarters.

“I’ve worked really hard to gain weight and become a better overall runner,” Coffee, ranked as the nation’s No. 45 running back by Rivals.com, said. “I gained almost 25 pounds this spring and summer, and I kept my speed down. I fee like I’m a more complete back now.”
Coffee isn’t close to completing the recruiting process. With scholarship offers from Louisville, Middle Tennessee State and Central Florida, Coffee has been getting major SEC calls since September 1.
“I’ve gotten calls from LSU, Florida, Auburn, Alabama,” he said. “Those are the biggest ones. I really like LSU and Florida the most now. I’ve also gotten calls from Louisville, UCF, MTSU and a few others, but I like the SEC guys.”
Ft. Walton Beach is in the path of hurricane Ivan and Coffee’s game Friday night has been canceled already.
