Cody excited by latest offer

We had a feeling Brush Prairie (Wash.) Hockinson offensive lineman Nick Cody would see his stock rise following the recent NorCal NIKE Camp and that's just what is happening. Cody picked up another offer and is establishing himself as one of the elite tackle prospects in the West region.
Cody, 6-5, 290 pounds is a dominant player on film and looked very good at the NIKE Camp as well. Offers have come in from Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Purdue and Washington State and the lineman added another Pac 10 offer recently.

"Coach Connelly, the line coach at UCLA told my coach an offer has been sent in the mail for me," Cody said. "I'm very excited about that offer. UCLA is a great school with a great Journalism program and this will likely lead to more offers as well.
"I hear Cal and Northwestern could be close to offering as well. Right now, I'm looking forward to the next couple of week as I have a lot going on.
"Matt Lipski and I are going to camp together June 8 at Oregon State and June 10 at Oregon. I have a spring jamboree with some other team in our league on the 9th and he's going to stay with me and then we'll check out the Oregon schools together.
"I'm also taking the SAT this coming Saturday. Matt and I have become good friends and hopefully he'll do well at these camps and get some offers. We would love the option of playing together in college. We have had some very serious discussions about committing to the same school so hopefully that can happen."
