Cody close to pulling the trigger

Decision time is just around the corner for one of the elite offensive line prospects in the West region this year. Barring one final unofficial visit, Brush Prairie (Wash.) Hockinson tackle Nick Cody will be making his college commitment a week from this Friday.
Cody, 6-5, 290 pounds is one of the feel good stories of the year. He went from a virtual unknown prospect following his junior season to one of the nation's top line prospects.

He has great size and feet and is one of the mot physical players we've seen. He has done very well at several camps including the NorCal NIKE Camp where he was among the top three OLs at the event.
Offers have flooded in and Cody now has a solid top three list with one school looking especially good.
"Oregon, Oregon State and Cal are my top three right now and Washington is a close fourth as well," Cody said. "I have a good idea where I want to go and I'm planning to make my commitment on June 22.
"My coach has talked to me about taking one last visit to Washington because Coach Willingham really wants to talk with me before I do anything so that's something I'm looking at. I've been to Washington multiple times before but I've actually never talked with Coach Willingham so we'll see if that happens.
"If I do decide to make that visit, I'll push my announcement date back because the first chance I would have to get to Washington would be June 28. June 25 is our last day of school so I would have to wait until school is out before I do so I'm just playing that by ear."
Cody broke down his top three schools for us.
Oregon- "I was at their half day camp last Sunday and really liked it," he said. "I like Coach Greatwood a lot, he's a great guy and I'm really comfortable with the area, the campus and it's just a good fit for me. I like coach Belotti a lot too, he's one of those that doesn't have to say a lot but after he's done talking, you're all fired up and ready to go."
Oregon State- "I was at their camp on Friday and that went well. Corvallis is close to home and it's a lot like where I'm from. They were one of the first schools to offer and I know if I went there, I would be able to focus on football and school and that would be a good thing."
Cal- "I haven't been to Cal but I've heard great things about the place. I always enjoy talking with the coaches and I have a good relationship with Coach Tedford as well. I talked with him about my dad, who passed away last year, and I was just really comfortable with him."
As for a leader among the trio;
"Right now, Oregon is my top school," Cody added. "I'm really comfortable with everything there but I'm still looking at the other schools as well and hopefully, I'll have my decision ready to go by the end of the month.
"I'm not sure how I'll do the announcement but I would really like my teammates and friends from school to be able to share it with me. I went through a lot last year and they were right there for me and got me through some tough times. I owe a lot to them so it would be great to have them with me but I really don't know what I'm going to do yet."
