Codrington ready for busy January

Miami (Fla.) South Miami High offensive lineman Simon Codrington has taken two visits and he is ready for a busy January.
"I've visited N.C. State and Auburn and had good times at both places," said the 6-foot-7, 270-pound prospect. "I'm looking forward to seeing some more places. I had a really good time at Auburn, because I got to the see them practice and I was impressed with how that went. I don't have a school in front, because I want to see what they all have to offer."

Codrington has visits to Florida State (Jan. 7), Florida (Jan. 14) and West Virginia (Jan. 21) coming up next month. The three star offensive tackle doesn't have a specific date in mind for a decision, but he did say maybe sometime after Jan. 28.
"I'm taking a good look at everything, so I can be sure," Codrington said.
It is no wonder schools are taking a good look at Codrington. He has never given up a sack in his high school career.
"Basketball really helped my quickness and agility," he said. "I really couldn't run at all as a freshman until I started playing basketball. Now I can't believe how fast I'm able to move my feet sometimes. That has been a big help."
Codrington is ranked as the No. 43 offensive tackle in the nation. He has enjoyed this recent dead period of recruiting.
"I like talking to the coaches, and I like everybody I've met," Codrington said. "But it has been nice to take a break from the phone ringing so much lately."
