Cocks latest to offer Georgia QB

Alpharetta (Ga.) Sequoyah pro-style quarterback Cullen Harper has quietly snuck up on other quarterbacks in the Southeast and has established himself as one of the best of the best. And now he’s getting the scholarship offers to prove it.
With offers already from Clemson, Duke and Middle Tennessee State, Harper, who is 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, added an SEC offer from South Carolina on Monday.

“I’m excited about the offer,” Harper said. “South Carolina is a great program and it’d be great to play for a coach like Lou Holtz.”
But Harper is still a ways from a decision with other teams Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt also on his list.
Playing in a wing-T offense as a junior, Harper completed more than 60 percent of his passes, racking up more than 1,000 yards and throwing 14 touchdowns with only three interceptions. He also recently competed in the EA Sports Elite 11 regional quarterback camp and impressed the scouts on hand.
His father, Jeff, played at Georgia and the Dawgs would be Harper’s top pick if they were to offer. He also has a 3.5 grade-point average and a 910 on the SAT.
