Cochran has junior day planned

LaPlace (La.) St. Charles Catholic finished the 2011 season with a 15-0 record and a state championship behind a strong senior class led by Colorado signee Jeffrey Hall, Tulane signee Lazedrick Thompson and North Texas signee LaJaylin Smith.
However, the Comets still return plenty of talent to make another run at a title. Leading the class of 2013 is defensive tackle Taylor Cochran. The big 6-foot-2, 315-pound junior has started to receive some recruiting attention and will visit an SEC program this weekend.

"I don't have any offers yet," Coachran said, "but I'm going to Texas A&M's junior day this coming weekend.
"They've been emailing my coach and my coach told me about it. He said it would be a good opportunity to go down there. I actually haven't had a chance to talk to anybody there myself just yet."
Cochran has also received a bit of attention from an in-state program as well.
"LSU was at my school the other day," he said. "They were talking to my coach about me. That's the only other one I really know of right now that's serious. I've been getting a lot of letters and stuff though."
Like many prospects in the state of Louisiana, Cochran admits it would be hard to turn down an offer from the Tigers. If LSU does not offer, though, he says a few other programs stand out as well.
"If LSU offers me, I would definitely think about committing right then," he said. "I like Tulane, LSU, Texas A&M and all the schools around here. I'm really just looking at everyone right now, whoever comes and recruits me."
