Cochran has five favorites

Matt Cochran has a lot going on.
The Atwater (Calif.) Buhach center recently picked up an offer from Auburn, he has a top five and the 6-foot-4, 340-pound prospect said he could make his commitment in the next four weeks.

Not only that but Cochran is also considering official visits however it's unclear whether he'll go on trips if he makes his commitment right around the time his senior football season gets underway.
"I have to pray about it, that's one of my big things, but besides that I have to see how everything goes," Cochran said. "I'll be able to tell toward the middle of the season who really wants me.
"I really do want to make my decision sooner. Within four weeks I might make a commitment. That's probably what will end up happening, I will take some visits, but even if I don't get to take some visits I just want to get the decision out of the way."
Auburn, Stanford, Cal, Washington and Utah make up the top five for Cochran, rated as the third-best center in the 2012 class and No. 51 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com.
An official visit is being planned to Utah in January and he also wants to take trips to Washington and Stanford but said he's not sure whether he'll go out on the road if his commitment is finalized.
Another team to watch is Alabama since Cochran camped in Tuscaloosa this summer and continues to hear from the Crimson Tide. They have not offered yet but could come out to one of his games and things could change after that.
"Auburn has offered and during the season I think Alabama is going to be scouting me and they're going to try to come out to one of the games," Cochran said. "That's been the latest but it's been kind of quiet.
"It was a big thing about a month ago with Alabama but now I'm just weighing out the top five schools I have on my list right now."
