Cobham to join teammate

Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan is the home to what may be a sleeping giant in defensive back Wayne Cobham. Cobham attended the Miami NIKE camp where he tested extremely well and impressed a couple of colleges enough to earn a scholarship.
"I have offers from Central Michigan and Western Michigan," Cobham said. "Bowling Green is also very close to offering I think. One of the assistants there wants to offer, but he has to get a tape of my first game and show it to the head coach first. Kansas State sends handwritten mail all the time too."

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Cobham attended the NIKE camp in Miami where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, the shuttle in 4.25 seconds and posted a 33-inch vertical jump.
"Right now my top schools are Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Wake Forest, Kansas State and Arizona," Cobham said. "One of my friends Delvin Davis is committed to Central Michigan so they are high on my list. I am not going to fool around, I want to take a couple of visits, but I will probably decide mid-season."
As a junior Cobham collected 66 tackles, recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble, had eight pass break-ups and blocked one punt.
"I don't want to go to a school that doesn't have the major I want," Cobham said. "This is very important thing for me. Facilities are also big, it's not secret that the best programs have good facilities. I also want to play for a team that wins a lot of games."
In addition to the NIKE camp Cobham attended a camp at Central Florida over the summer.
