Cobb schedules Big 12 visit

Jamardre Cobb has one official visit set up and the Los Angeles Salesian four-star linebacker is expected to plan the remainder of his trips as the season gets closer.
Salesian assistant coach D'Vah Thomas said Cobb and three other West standouts will visit Oklahoma in early October and that Cobb will definitely schedule an official trip to Arizona as well. All five officials are expected but the three other destinations haven't been determined yet.

"Jamardre is just focused on the season and winning a championship," Thomas said.
"I know he has one trip set up on October 4 he's supposed to be going to Oklahoma with Marquis (Ware), Joe Mixon and Michiah Quick. I know that trip is set up but other than that he's just going through the motions, trying to put trips together and getting ready for the season.
"He's going to visit Arizona for sure. That's for sure and then he's trying to figure out his other three visits and see where he wants to go. He's going to take all five visits."
Cobb, rated as the No. 13 inside linebacker and the No. 182 prospect in the 2014 class by Rivals.com, will have plenty of options for his other visits.
The four-star has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida State, Houston, Memphis, Miami, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, SMU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Washington State and Wisconsin.
The Los Angeles Salesian standout also plans to be patient through his senior season to see if other programs get involved. Cobb is open to new schools and doesn't want to rush a decision until he takes his trips.
"He wants to see what every program has to offer and who's going to keep recruiting him during the season," Thomas said.
"He wants to see who's going to lose interest, too. Right now it's more about seeing who's really interested and where he could go and play and be comfortable."
