Coaches interested in Dieffenbach

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Fox Chapel Area offensive tackle Miles Dieffenbach is sitting on an offer from Pitt, a school he happens to be very high on.
Nonetheless, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman from the Keystone State knows his stock can rise and he's just waiting for that to happen. It shouldn't be much longer until he has new offers to choose from. While that will make his decision that much harder, it's something he's eager for.

"This summer I'm planning on taking five trips," Dieffenbach said. "I'm going to target five schools for one-day camps, get out there and show them what they want to see. I'll probably be going to BC, Notre Dame, Virginia, Penn State and one more.
"A lot of schools said they like my highlight film but they want to see me (in person). Northwestern has been showing a lot of interest, and Purdue has also.
"I've talked to a lot of these schools on the phone and they've said they definitely like what they saw. I know when I go to those camps I'll definitely show them that I have what they want."
While he still gives Pitt the advantage -- largely because of the offer and his familiarity with the program -- he is very open to other schools.
"Pitt is probably still number one," he explained. "That's still my only offer. But I also like the schools I've targeted for summer camps."
Dieffenbach carries a 3.43 grade point average.
