Coach talks White, top junior

Rivals100 wide receiver Jared White of Mobile (Ala.) Williamson likely will be making two consecutive trips to SEC campuses during the next two weeks, according to his high school coach.
Williamson head coach Bobby Parrish said that the 5-foot-11, 170-pound White will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for third-ranked Alabama's top five showdown with No. 5 LSU.

The following week, Parrish expects White, the nation's No. 89 overall prospect, to head up to Auburn for the in-state showdown between the Tigers and Alabama.
As for recruiting, Parrish said that the three schools White will watch in the coming weeks all have stopped by Williamson High to check on the nation's No. 8 wide receiver prospect.
"We're going to sit down here in the next couple of weeks and talk about it," Parrish said. "If I had to say that there was one school out in front right now, I'd say that it would be LSU. But that's purely my opinion and based on the fact that (former Williamson standout) Jamarcus Russell is there."
Tigers recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach Josh Henson is recruiting White for the Bayou Bengals.
Williamson High's season has come to an end.
"(White) had a pretty good year," Parrish said. "He encountered a lot of double and triple teams, but he took three or four punt returns back for touchdowns and two or three kickoffs back for touchdowns."
Parrish also has a junior two-way lineman that he thinks has a shot at being a Division I-A prospect. Nick Fairley is a 6-foot-4, 255-pounder who can play defensive end, defensive tackle or offensive tackle.
"There are other prospects that could end up being college players," Parrish said. "But (Fairley) is a definite."
