Coach discusses three-star safety

Three-star safety Detric Allen out of Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly already claims a few offers. Rivals.com caught up with the 6-foot-1, 179-pounder's head coach to find out the latest on his recruitment and more.
"He's got at least three offers from Arkansas, Louisville and East Carolina," South Stanly head coach Luke Little said. "Teams love his athletic ability.

"There's not a lot of tape on him because he only played five games last year."
Allen previously was the quarterback at South Stanly.
"He was our sophomore quarterback and then Desi (Brown) transferred from North Stanly," he said. "We moved Detric to defense and he's gotten offers.
"He is a physical player and can cover a lot of ground. He's a good zone safety for us."
Allen is a good student as well according to his coach.
"He's got great grades, 3.8 GPA and already at 980 on the SAT."
One other prospect to watch in the 2010 class from South Stanly is an undersized running back.
"Everybody has seen film on Cody and they love him," he said. "The thing is Cody Milton is only 5-foot-7, 170-pounds. It's going to be a situation where he finds the right fit. His size is going to hurt him.
"He is a 270-pound hang cleaner and is quick as a cat on the field. He's got good balance and somebody will take a chance on him."
Little confirmed numerous I-AA teams are prepared to offer if Division I schools don't pull the trigger.
