Closing time for Harris

It's no secret that Arlington (Texas) Bowie quarterback Sherrod Harris has had Texas in the lead for some time, so many people wonder if a commitment is soon.
The mild mannered Harris is only planning one camp this summer and contrary to what many people think, there is no set date for a decision. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound prospect says he'll make his decision when he feels right.

"Right now I don't know," Harris said. "If I were to say that I was close to a commitment and then not do it, then it wouldn't be right. It could happen any day for me – I could wake up one morning and be ready to do it."
"I'm thinking before the football season at the latest and then I should know."
A light camp schedule is on tap for Harris and as of right now, one team will be receiving his only stop thus far.
"The only one I'm sure of is Texas at this point," Harris said. "I'm not sure of what else I might be doing."
As for pressure to make a decision, Harris says there really hasn't been any.
"I haven't had too much pressure to get it over with early," he said. "I've had some new offers like Utah recently and Iowa State, but it's been nice just kind of seeing what all happens with this stuff."
