Close to a decison for TE

If you are looking for an old school tight end you need to check out Neil Basford from Bishop Kenney High School in Jacksonville. Basford, 6-5 and 235 pounds, had 21 receptions for 226 yards and five touchdowns last season as a junior.
"I think I have good receiving skills," Basford said. "I am working on my blocking and just trying to become a complete player."

According to Basford he has 13 to 14 scholarship offers but at this time he has narrowed things down to four schools and one leader.
"I am favoring Wake Forest. I like everything about them. I went up there and the visit went well. I didn't expect to fall in love with them. We get a lot of our offense from them and we have very much the same offense. Coach (Jim) Grobe is what sold me. We talked for some time and he has to be one of the nicest people I have met in a long time."
Two other schools that made his short list are Virginia Tech and South Carolina. Basford has been to both Blacksburg and Columbia and he liked what he saw from both programs.
"I think I fit in real well with both schools and they have offered. Blacksburg was a real nice college town and a little different then Wake. But I liked the campus and everything. Same with Columbia. Plus, that's a big SEC school."
Another team could enter the mix. But will it be too late?
"Boston College has been trying to call me and that's a school that I would really like to know more about. They spoke with my coach but I am not sure if they have offered or not.
"Right now I think I am close to decision. I may try and make a decision in next couple of days. I would like to commit before the season."
