Clint Sintim commits

Woodbridge (Va.) Gar-Field defensive end/linebacker Clint Sintim has made up his mind. Where is the 6-foot-3, 254-pounder heading?
"I'm going to Virginia," said Sintim, who chose the Cavaliers over offers from Virginia Tech, Maryland, Ohio State and Tennessee. "I actually committed last Wednesday but I wanted to keep things quiet and really think hard on it. After a few days of being committed, it felt right. I just spoke to coach Golden again and I am going to speak to coach Foster at Tech right now."

The final decision came down to UVA and VTech.
"I just liked the coaches at UVA a little better and my father and family wanted me at UVA as well," he said. "My coach was also in UVA's corner so everything was right about it. I like Virginia Tech, but Virginia was a better fit."
Sintim was supposed to visit Tech on Jan. 30 (this weekend) but cancelled due to a broken leg. Would things have been different had he not injured his leg playing hoops.
"I don't think so," he said. "I've been leaning towards UVA since the football season started."
Sintim is ranked as the No. 30 defensive end in the country by Rivals.com.
