Cleveland hits the road

Houston (Texas) Westfield Rivals250 wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland has been a bit of a road warrior the last few weeks. He has taken official visits to Oklahoma and Arizona State, and he took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M.
His most recent trip was to Arizona State with friend and Westfield teammate Dillon Sterling-Cole, who is committed to the Sun Devils.

"It was great going out there with him," Cleveland said. "Not only because he's committed there but just to go out there with someone I know and experience the trip out there with him was great. Because most kids don't get the experience of going out there with their quarterback and spending time with him and his team. It was just awesome."
He does not have any other official visits scheduled right now, but he does have one school he knows he wants to visit.
"I want to really go out to Ole Miss and check things out," Cleveland said. "That's one school I really want to get out and check out."
There are a few reasons why the Rebel program has his attention.
"They've always been a good program where good players come in and out, but most of it is Shea Patterson and coach Hugh Freeze and Grant Heard the receivers coach," Cleveland said.
In the past, he has named a top 10 of Arizona State, Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Georgia, Houston, Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M. Recently Tennessee and Nebraska have come on strong, and it is clear his interest has increased in Ole Miss.
He is trying to figure out a way to take an unofficial visit to Tennessee, and he knows he will take an unofficial visit to Houston.
"I'm going out there most definitely," Cleveland said of the Cougars. "Ed (Oliver) has been recruiting me. Well he hasn't really been talking to me. He's been saying it's my decision, but deep inside I know he wants me to come play football with him. He's been telling me this and that. I'm most definitely going to go out there for a couple of games. UH is still high on my list just because it's close to home and I have family."
He has talked about narrowing his list to five, but the attention keeps coming and his decision becomes harder. He is not sure when he will trim his list again, but he does know he is not ready to do it now.
"Right now I don't have a top five yet," Cleveland said. "It's kind of hard to get to five schools. I'm trying my best to put it out there and I know people have been waiting, but it's just a process."
