Cleveland has visit plans

Houston (Texas) Westfield Rivals250 wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland plans to take visit to Baylor, Alabama, and TCU before the summer is over, and he says the Oklahoma Sooners are currently showing the most attention.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound pass catcher also knows he wants to take his official visits and he already has one school on his short official visit list.
"I have one school I know I'm going to be visiting. I'll take an official visit out to Oregon," Cleveland said. "I'm trying to take an official visit to Oregon. I like Oregon. I don't have an offer yet, but I like them.
"It's something I really want to do. I've been talking to the receiver coach, we've just been talking right now. They have been waiting on my SAT scores to get back, and they got back. They're just waiting to call me to make the offer happen and I'm just waiting on the offer."
UCLA is the most recent offer and Kentucky and California are others Cleveland believes are close to extending scholarship offers.
Cleveland, who was previously committed to Texas A&M, remains in contact with the Texas A&M staff and the Aggie remain very much in the race.
"A&M is keeping in touch with me a lot," Cleveland said. "I've been talking with coach Moorehead and coach Banks and coach Spav the offensive coordinator. We have a good relationship. Texas A&M stands out in my recruiting very high."
The Houston Cougars are another program mentioned often with Cleveland. His former high school coach is currently on Tom Herman's Houston staff and Westfield Rivals100 teammate Ed Oliver made national headlines for his decision to stay home and attend Houston.
"I think it's a brilliant idea what coach Herman is doing," Cleveland said. "I can see where they're going trying to get the players to stay home and build a legacy. I think it's a good idea. Right now, recruiting-wise they're coming at me very hard just like any other school."
He is not quite ready to declare any leaders but a top four is on the way in the very near future.
"I will come out with a top four in a couple of weeks," Cleveland said.
A commitment decision could also arrive before the season, but he is not as sure about that as he is about releasing his top four.
"I'm thinking about before the season, but I'll probably do it at the Under Armour All-American game," Cleveland said.
As a junior, Cleveland recorded 53 receptions for 1,109 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named the receiver MVP at the Rivals Speed and Skill Challenge presented by Under Armour in Houston.
