Clemson wows ODaniel

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel linebacker Dorian O'Daniel had taken visits to Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland prior to this weekend, but none of those trips can compare to his most recent visit.
"I loved it, it was a great visit," said the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder who is ranked No. 37 overall in the country. "It was my first trip to a school that's like more than five hours away so that was good, to see how it was away from home staying overnight. I got a really good feeling on the visit."

O'Daniel met with defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Brent Venables as well as head coach Dabo Swinney and other coaches.
"This was the best feeling I've gotten on a visit so far," he said. "I like coach Venables a lot and coach Swinney is a good guy. It was a long visit so I got to see everything, we got there early Saturday and didn't leave until Sunday. It's a college town which I like and everything close, it's a good campus. I liked the way the whole town is about the school it seems."
O'Daniel visited with teammates Kendall Fuller and Andre Levrone and got to meet a few guys he's seen before.
"We went out to a movie with Sammy Watkins and Travis Blanks," he said. "Everyone knows about Sammy from last year and I saw Travis play in the Army Bowl so it was good to meet a few guys on the team. They were cool with us."
What's next for O'Daniel?
"Probably Tennessee," he said. "I was thinking about North Carolina this weekend, but I have the SAT so that won't happen. We'll probably hit Tennessee soon and then I might visit Nebraska soon with Marcus Newby, he really likes them. He and I have been friends for awhile and I know Nebraska is a bit out of the way, but I'd like to see it. Then the Rivals/VTO Camp in early April and the week after that is Michigan with Kendall."
Have O'Daniel and Fuller become a package deal of sorts?
"Not really," he said. "We like a lot of the same schools and will probably visit Tennessee and Michigan together, but there are some schools he likes that I don't and the opposite. We'll see how it shakes out."
O'Daniel said that he also wants to visit Auburn and South Carolina and that Florida hasn't been in contact much lately.
"I really liked Florida, but they took a lot of linebackers so they could be done," he said. "I was going to go to Auburn with Andre but couldn't get it done in time. Right now I don't have any leaders, but I will be back at Clemson for an official I'm sure."
