There's something to be said for being the first school to offer a prospect a scholarship, and Tavien Feaster is saying it. In fact, his front runner is the program that has been there since the start.
"My No. 1 school right now is Clemson, but that could change as my recruiting goes and picks up and other things start happening," Feaster said. "For now, it's them. I like everything about them. I like the school and I like how they show me love."
According to Feaster, Auburn, North Carolina, Florida State and Florida have come on strong recently. And while all have already offered him scholarships, none of the group has been able to unseat the Tigers at the top just yet.
His interest has been piqued enough, though. He plans to visit Auburn this summer.
"I like their offense," Faster said of Auburn. "It's very similar to our offense. I like the style and offense and the way they carry that program. They're bringing it back strong. I was supposed to go to Florida State, too, but I didn't get to make it. I still really want to get there this summer. I want to see all my options."
A 2016 prospect, Feaster won't sign a letter of intent until roughly 18 months from now. He has set no timetable for a decision, but won't rule out an early commitment. He doesn't want to lock himself into anything.
"I honesty don't know when," Feaster said. "If a school gets a huge lead and I know for sure what I want to do, I'll go ahead and commit right then. But whatever I do, I know I want to weigh all my options before I make my choice."
Considered to be one of the top running backs in the 2016 class, Feaster already holds 10 scholarship offers.
