Clemson pushing for 2016 FL DB

With double-digit offers prior to playing the first game of his junior season, it's clear that college coaches think 2016 Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep athlete Cedrick Wright is a special prospect. But one school in particular is making him a priority.
"Right now pushing the hardest out of everyone is Clemson," the 5-foot-8, 180-pound prospect said. " Coach Venables he's pushing the hardest and right behind them is Ohio State and Alabama."

While listed in the Rivals.com as an athlete, Wright said Venables sees him as a defensive playmaker.
"He's telling me they can use me all over the field on defense," Wright said. "He likes my versatility and thinks that I can be a big help for them defensively."
The Tigers have had success recruiting the state of Florida in recent years and according to Wright, the staff has reminded him of that.
"Coach Venables has told me about all the guys they have from Florida," Wright said. "I like that they have guys from down here up there competing. I like the idea of playing with and competing against some of the best for my spot."
Wright also shared his thoughts on The Tide and the Buckeyes.
Alabama: "They're recruiting me real hard. Coach Cristobal has been talking to me a lot. I mean, who doesn't like Alabama? They win and they put guys in the NFL every year and that's the goal for everyone. Me and Coach Cristobal have a great relationship. We talk a lot. He's from down here so he knows all of us."
Ohio State: "They're recruiting me hard. I know Ryan Shazier and he told them about me and he let me know that they said he was right. They think I can play and they've been on me hard ever since."
Wright will be taking a summer tour of schools with his high school teammates , but said he's excited to see Clemson, Columbus and Tuscaloosa the most.
"I've been to Alabama before but I'm excited to go back," he said. "I've never been to Ohio State or Clemson so I'm excited to visit."
