Clemson offers Georgia TE and moves to the 'very top' of his list

Clemson let Jackson Lowe know that he was one of their top guys at tight end last week when they invited him up to visit today. That gave him an idea that he could be close to pulling in an offer from the Tigers and he got it Saturday afternoon.

"Dream come true", Lowe said on Twitter as soon as he received the offer.

When talking with Rivals about the offer, Lowe said, "Words can't describe how much this means. It feels great."

The 6-foot-5, 230 pound junior tight end out of Cartersville (Ga.) first visited Clemson for the Auburn game in September. He has a good feel for the environment and he loves the feeling there.

"Clemson’s such a special place. My first time stepping on campus it just felt like home. The environment just felt like family. Everybody is friendly there and when they talk with you, you can tell that they care about you.

"The atmosphere is great, the fans are awesome and loud and it is exciting."

This offer has pushed Clemson up to No. 1 on Lowe's list. He has double-digit offers, but all are now chasing the Tigers.

"Clemson is at the very top," said Lowe. "They’ve made me a priority ever since they’ve been recruiting me, so that is a big reason too why they are on top. They always text me and see how I’m doing and stuff like that."

Of course it does not hurt Clemson either having Lowe's former teammate, Trevor Lawrence on campus. When asked if that could factor into his decision when that time comes, he said, "Of course."
