Clemson moves up for Levrone

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel wide receiver Andre Levrone took his third straight unofficial visit in recent weeks this past weekend. The 6-foot-1, 188-pounder headed to Clemson for a trip with teammates.
"It was a lot of fun," he said. "I had a lot of fun. We drove down on Friday night and stayed on Saturday.

"I saw the academic centers and was impressed with the fact Coach Swinney is the No. 1 coach for graduation rates in all of Division I coaches right now. After that, we saw the stadium and weight room. The facilities were grade A. I went to Auburn last week and they are almost SEC facilities at Clemson. Then, after junior day I talked with some of the coaches for a bit with Kendall (Fuller) and Dorian (O'Daniel)."
How was his talk with the staff?
"I mainly talked with Coach Scott, the wide receivers coach and my recruiting coordinator," he said. "He was just telling me that he really wants me down there at one of the camps this summer so they can get a better look at me before pulling the trigger and giving me an offer. I can say more than likely I'm going to get back down there this summer."
It seems Clemson has moved up the list for Levrone.
"Definitely," he said. "For one, I like the people down there. I really like the coaching staff and they seem to know what they are talking about. I felt comfortable down there and I like Coach Scott. I talked to Sammy Watkins and he was just telling me a little bit about how quickly he was able to adjust as well as he how he likes it a lot. He thinks it's the fast track to being successful in life by going down there."
Levrone plans to take more trips coming up.
"Visit wise I'm not sure, but I'm probably going to Virginia sometime during spring practice," he said. "I want to go and sit down with Coach Poindexter, Lazor and London and talk about specifics.
"I think April 14th is when Michigan's spring game is. I'm planning to go with Kendall and Dorian there. I also want to go see Ohio State. I've been talking to their coach a bit."
Levrone noted Arizona is one other school showing a lot of interest, but at this time he holds offers from Auburn, Mississippi State and Virginia.
