Clemson lands commitment from four-star OL Ronan O'Connell

Four-star offensive lineman Ronan O'Connell is heading to Clemson, announcing his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Tuesday afternoon.

O'Connell narrowed his focus to just three programs heading into the summer - Clemson, Wisconsin, and Tennessee. After taking June officials to all three, Clemson was the program that stood out the most.

"Clemson was ultimately the best fit for me as a player and a person," O'Connell told Rivals.com of his decision. "They will help with my development the most. The thing that sticks out about Clemson is their winning tradition and their consistency with putting players into the NFL."

Throughout his recruiting process, the 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect collected over 35 offers and has kept a rather low-profile as well.

His initial visit to Clemson came in early April, where he picked up an offer from the Tigers.

Throughout the duration, O'Connell has developed a strong relationship with Clemson offensive line coach Thomas Austin, which helped pave the way for a return visit the first weekend of June and ultimately, Tuesday's commitment.

O'Connell projects as an interior lineman for Clemson. He is the first offensive line commitment for the Tigers in their 2024 class.

William Satterwhite, a Rivals250 prospect, and Fletcher Westphal, are two other offensive lineman Clemson hosted for officials during the month of June.
