IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"It was just the atmosphere, the love, and everything," Williams said. "It's just the best fit for me.

"The way they've developed interior defensive linemen played a big part," he said. "The players that have played here love it.

"The coaches want to use me over over, like the way they used Christian Wilkins," said Williams. "That's who the coaches have been comparing me to.

"Bryan Bresee and Jordan Burch are here with me," he said. "We have a chance to have the best defensive line the country has seen in a while. We already have me and DeMonte Capehart so if we get Bresee and Burch it's over for everybody else."

RIVALS' REACTION...

Williams is the type of athletic interior defensive lineman that Clemson has used in a masterful way over the last few years. He is very quick at the snap and knows how to use leverage to his advantage. Williams does a great job of getting into the backfield and disrupting plays too. Dabo Swinney and staff did a great job of making Williams feel like Clemson is a place he can feel comfortable and reach his full potential.
