Clemson, Duke early favorites for 2015 DE

At 6-foot-6, 240 pounds it's not hard for Greenville (S.C.) Berea defensive end Destin Guillen to stick on the football field. That's why interest is picking up, with schools like Clemson and Duke among the first to take notice.
"I recently visited Duke for the Miami game and I was really impressed," Guillen said. "I think I can play there and I'm really pursuing that as an option."

Duke assistant coach Rick Petri first spotted Guillen on the field this season and invited him to campus.
"He said he likes my size," Guillen said. "He came to see me play and then when we talked later he invited me to visit for the game. I love it up there."
Clemson assistant coach Marion Hobby has been in regular contact with Guillen throughout the fall, and invited him to visit for the Tigers game against The Citadel last month.
"It as amazing," Guillen said of the visit. "I like the atmosphere that the stadium brings. I talked to the coaches and me and Coach Hobby always talk because he's the recruiter for my area and we have a really good relationship."
Guillen is also hearing from schools like N.C. State, Missouri, Georgia and Kentucky, but said the Tigers and Blue Devils have a head start on the competition.
"Clemson and Duke are my two favorite schools," he said.
This offseason Guillen is planning to camp at Clemson, Duke, N.C. State.
