The offensive line has been a question mark for the Clemson Tigers in the past. Their latest verbal commitment could be a big-time help in a few years.
"Tony committed to Clemson today at noon," said Highland Springs, Va. head coach Scott Burton of his 6-foot-6, 310-pound offensive tackle, Tony Willis. "He really liked the coaching staff and loved the place on his visit. He came home and started asking his dad when he could commit."
After a few more questions were answered for the Willis family, Tony pulled the trigger.
"He spoke to coach Bowden and committed," said Burton. "Clemson is getting a great kid with a lot of upside. Virginia Tech, NC State and North Carolina all said they were going to offer soon and Virginia was also very interested. Tony moves very well for his size and playing basketball has helped him with his footwork."
Willis is already a full qualifier and should be a pure tackle for the Tigers.
