Cleare Prefers To Play QB
Stuart (Fla.) Martin County quarterback Richard Cleare would like to be able to pick what position he plays in college, but he’s open to anything.
“I have an offer from East Carolina as a quarterback,” said the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder. “But Miami, Florida State and Southern Mississippi haven’t really said yet. Florida State is recruiting me a little as a tight end while Miami wants me either as a quarterback or on defense.”

Cleare was supposed to go to Mississippi State for a visit on October 19th, but they backed off.
“I’m going on an official visit to East Carolina on November 15th and then the next day I’m going to the Miami-Syracuse game,” he said. “One of the Miami coaches came by my game last week so I think they’re interested. If I stay in state, I’d like to go there but out of state it’s ECU.”
