Clark makes call to TCU

School: Weatherford, Texas
Position: Offensive Tackle
Size and Speed: Clark is 6-foot-5 and 235-pounds. He has been clocked in the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds.
Favorite Schools: Clark was being recruited by several schools including Baylor, SMU, Purdue, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt. But he chose to accept the scholarship offer from Texas Christian and ended the recruiting process early.
Skinny: The opening of the contact period allowed the TCU assistant coaches to swing by Weatherford High School and watch Clark in action. The opportunity to talk to the coaches gave the 6-foot-5 tackle the information he'd been hoping to hear form the Horned Frogs.
"The coaches told me to call Coach Patterson when I got done with practice," Clark said. "So I did that when I got in. He told me he wanted to offer me a scholarship in hopes that I would come play for them."
So, how did Patterson respond.
"He seemed pretty excited when I told him I was going to commit to them and accept the offer. I've been a TCU fan for a long time. I'm excited about going to play there."
Clark's coach had informed him Purdue was going to come by and offer a scholarship.
"Coach Sneed had said Purdue indicated they were going to offer me. They hadn't yet, but I used that as information to get TCU to go ahead and offer. I told them about the Purdue offer and they went ahead and offered me to go play at TCU when they heard about it."
