Clark closer to more offers

Coming off a tough season, Suffolk (Va.) Kings Fork cornerback and 2012 Under Armour All-American Combine participant Charles Clark is working on improving his stock.
"The combine went well," said the 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback. "I think I could've done better but I'm happy with my performance. Hopefully, it might give a boost to my recruitment because I tested well in a few things."

Virginia and Virginia Tech have extended early scholarship offers to Clark, and he has a feeling more are soon to come.
"Virginia and Virginia Tech are both good schools and make their players feel at home and have a family atmosphere," Clark explained. "I think Maryland is close to offering and I've been hearing from Tennessee, NC State and North Carolina."
This early in the process, Clark is keeping an open mind.
"No schools really stand out yet," he said. "The main factors that come into play are the academics, atmosphere and the athletics. I grew up following Florida and they used to be my dream offer but they aren't showing much interest in me so I let it go."
Clark is currently in the process of figuring out his off-season travel schedule.
I'm probably going to one of the Nike camps," said Clark. " I have a lot of invitations but not sure which ones I'll go to. My parents have been very supportive and we're trying to figure that out."
After his junior season, Clark was named the Defensive Player of the Year for his district and was an All-Tidewater First Team Defensive Back.
