Cincinnati, WVU up next for Wellman

Elijah Wellman, the No. 3 prospect in West Virginia's Class of 2013, has a couple of camps this weekend.
Wellman has offers from Bowling Green, Marshall and Ohio but he's looking for more.

"This weekend I'm going to Cincinnati and West Virginia for camps," Wellman said. "There are other (schools) that want me to come to their camps but I'll probably take it as it comes. I'll do a few camps here and there."
Wellman thinks more offers could be coming in so he doesn't want to list any favorites yet.
"Everybody's showing equal interest," he noted. "I usually talk to all the coaches about once a week, through e-mail or some other way.
"I do talk to the Marshall coaches more just because they're right here in my backyard. It's easier to get up there so I've been there a couple of times."
Marshall is a school Wellman admits he's fond of and his long-standing relationship with the Herd could really help them in the long run.
"I've grown up here my whole life and it's right there," he said. "I don't want to let that impact my decision at all, though."
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound inside linebacker from Huntington (W.V.) Spring Valley was planning to make his decision before the start of the season. Now with more interest he's planning to wait until the middle of the season or even after his senior campaign.
