Cincinnati, Pitt after Florida RB Lindsay

Things are just getting started when it comes to recruiting for 2015 Melbourne (Fla.) Palm Bay running back Sekai Lindsay but he was happy to finally receive his first offer earlier this month.
The offer, which came from Cincinnati, was a relief for the 5-foot-11, 225-pound power back.

"It's a little surprising but it felt good," Lindsay said. "It was reassuring and it relieves some of that stress you have when you're waiting for your first one."
Prior to the offer, Lindsay said he hadn't been in touch with the Bearcats coaches.
"They came out of the blue," he said. "They came to the school and they told me they wanted to jump in early before Miami, Purdue and a bunch of other schools offered. They want me to go there and take a visit and we talked about [offensive coordinator] Eddie Grant and his history of putting backs in the league. "
Plenty of other schools have been in regular contact with Lindsay since the dead period ended, including Pittsburgh, Miami and Georgia Tech. He said he thinks the Panthers could be the next school to pull the trigger on an offer.
"They're telling me that they should offer after sometime soon," he said. "I'm talking to [defensive coordinator] Matt House and he was telling me about the school. I think they're building a good program. They have some good freshmen that played this year and they have a nice stadium, too."
With both schools showing heavy interest far from home, the question is whether or not Lindsay would be comfortable with going far from home.
"The only reason to stay close to home is so my mom could come and watch me place," he said. "But everyone plays on TV so it doesn't matter that much. Whichever school feels like home is who I'll choose."
