Christian sticking with Warriors

Sacramento (Calif.) Kennedy defensive back Steven Christian committed a few months back to Hawaii. When former Warior coach June Jones left for SMU, Christian planned to take a visit to the Texas school before solidifying his college choice.
Christian, 6-0, 170 pounds is one of the state's top corner prospects. He has good size and speed and has a nice upside to him.

He committed early to Stanford before both party's decided to go their seperate ways. Christian then visited Hawaii and committed just a week later.
"I'm solid with Hawaii," Christian said. "In fact, I didn't even take the visit to SMU. I was going to, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that Hawaii was the place for me and I didn't need to look anywhere else.
"When they hired Coach McMackin as the new head coach, that was a big deal for me. Coach McMackin was the one who had been recruiting me the whole time and I already have a great relationship with him. I loved my visit there and I just feel very comfortable with Hawaii.
"RIght now, I can't wait to sign with them next week. It's been a fun process but I'm glad it's over and excited to be a Warrior."
