Christian Harris is an Aggie

Christian Harris had it down to Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M, and thinking hard about his decision over the summer, the four-star linebacker out of Baton Rouge (La.) University is an Aggie.

Harris said, "First off, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the game of football. I would also like to thank all of the schools that offered me an opportunity to continue my education and athletic career.

"I would also like to thank my family, coaches, and friends for being there for me throughout the entire process.

"Although it was a difficult decision to make, I had to choose the University that I felt was best for me. With that being said, I would like to announce that I am 100-percent committed to Texas A&M."

This is commitment No. 24 for Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies for the 2019 class. Harris is good athlete who plays physical. He will fit in nicely at linebacker in the SEC.

After speaking with Harris more in-depth about his decision, we learned a little more about his commitment.

"Me and my family decided [on Texas A&M] yesterday (Wednesday)," said Harris. "There really wasn't a No. 2 school, but it was between my top four schools. I chose the one that was best for me.

"Relationships with the staff there was a big key to my decision and I mean, it’s just the best fit for me.

"The recruiting process was extremely hard because I had a really good relationship with coaches at other schools. I still have those relationships but you know, it’s hard telling them I’m not coming to their University. At this point, the process was getting very stressful.

"I have visited there twice and it's amazing and it’s very family oriented.

"They have something special going on there."
